| Do I bring anything to the session? | |
| No. You just need to bring yourselves. However, we do ask that you try to be at the center five minutes early to allow the class to start on time. We also ask that the children are barefoot in the center (safety) but parents are welcome to wear socks. If your child does not have a Tumble Tots uniform, please dress them in clothing appropriate to physical activity! |
| I am worried as my child is very young and has little social experience with other children | |
| This is a main concern for all parents. For those whose children are under 3 years of age, we stipulate that a parent must be with the child in the class as at this age they are not ready to be independent of their caregiver and they have "stranger anxiety". For those over 3 years of age, classes do not require a parent to be there but perhaps for the first 2 sessions it is advisable. Please allow the child to take their time to adjust to this new environment - they will do it in their own time! |
| Is there any waiting room? Can I bring siblings? | |
| Yes there is a small waiting room. At trial sessions, siblings can attend but the parent must be prepared to be responsible for both. For any future lessons, the center can discuss options at the time of the first session. |
| My child does not seem to want to participate in the trial lesson | |
| Every child is different and therefore each one reacts differently to this new, strange environment. Not only is everything new but there are new faces as well. Children need time to adjust to this environment. Allow your child time to choose when they want to participate - often it may take 2 sessions. |
| I am going on vacation and will miss sessions. What happens now? | |
| As long as you advise us in advance, you can have a make-up lesson anytime as long as you contact us to pre-book it to avoid overcrowding. |
| My child is always tired after a Tumble Tots session. Why? | |
| To a small child 45 minutes is the equivalent of 3 hours of exercise. Although the equipment looks small to an adult, for a child it is approximately 4 times bigger and more challenging! |
| How many students per session? | |
| The ratio of instructor to student is 1:6. At present we have 3 instructors so the maximum number we can have is 18 students. |
| I am not good at English - is there any problem with communication? | |
| Because we are dealing with small children, all instructions are kept short and very simple. We also have bi-lingual staff so if there is a problem we can discuss it. This is a good chance also for parents to pick up simple English phrases. |
